Black Eyed To Feature in' Engel and Joe'
This Placebo single featured in the film 'Engel and Joe', which was released across Europe on 8 October 2001. 'Unfortunately it won't be released in the UK but you can hear the track and MIX by Le Vibrator right here as well as watch the video.

Special K
Special K was the third single to be taken from the album 'Black Market Music' which was released last October and entered the UK charts at #6. The single was released on March 19th 2001. The different formats featured non-album tracks and exclusive remixes by the likes of Timo Maas (who has also remixed Madonna's 'Don't Tell Me)'. Placebo had a pretty successful year in 2000 in which their album when straight to #1 in France and Greece. Following the sell-out tours throughout Europe and the UK, Placebo are currently completing dates in Japan, New Zealand and Australia and have recently completed 2 dates at Brixton Academy in London on the 18th and 19th October 2001.

Black Market Music
The album 'Black Market Music' is the follow up to their platinum selling 'Without You I'm Nothing', which was released way back in October 1998! Recorded at London's Olympic Studio's and mixed at The Townhouse, the new album has contributors aplenty including Linoleum Singer-Guitarist Caroline Finch and One-Inch Punch Rapper Justin Warfield.

The Success Story so Far
Since Placebo burst onto the music scene almost six years ago, they have made a tremendous mark with their complexed sound that takes influences from the likes of Bowie, Waits and a little PJ Harvey. Their first taster of the success was back in 1995 with their debut single 'Come Home' which reached number three in the indie charts and was released through Deceptive Records.

Shortly afterwards, Brian, Steve and Stefan signed to Hut Recordings which lead to a spot supporting David Bowie on several European tour dates which came about after hearing one of their demos and being extremely impressed. This lead to other hits including 'Nancy Boy' and a guest appearance at Bowie's 50th birthday in Madison Square Garden, New York. The self-tilted debut album achieved gold status whilst the follow up album 'Without You I'm Nothing' to date has sold over 300,000 copies.
