The band recently performed at Grolsch's summer set at Somerset House on Aug 6, and it served as the perfect scene for the lad's acoustic tinged rock and tight harmonies.
Turin Brakes haven't any gigs planned over the next few months; instead they're disappearing into the depths of their studio to work on album No.3! Since the release of their second album 'Ether Song' they've toured Europe as well as parts of Australasia.

Turin Brakes are one of the music industry's best-kept secrets. Through ongoing gigs and sheer hard work, they've established themselves alongside the likes of Coldplay and Travis at the forefront of sensitive, intelligent quiet-core, folk-flavoured pop.
Turin Brakes are duo Olly Knights and Gale Paridianian, who met at the age of seven-and-a-half. Together they joined the school choir, but it wasn't until after Gale went to Canada and Olly signed up for film school, that the now grown-up pair started playing under the name of erm, Olly and Gale. After signing to Anvil Records, they changed their name and released their debut EP, The Door.
A change of label followed as did a couple of EPs, and by the end of 2000, they'd supported the likes of Kathryn Williams, Doves, and Lowgold. The band's debut full-length album, The Optimist, didn't arrive until May 2001, but was widely acclaimed. Since then, they haven't looked back, receiving high praise for their second album 'Ether Song' and maturing their sound every step of the way...can't wait for the third album!
